Lake Tahoe has many different climate zones. At the top of the peaks it can be windy and cold while at the lake it can be sunny and warm. The lake elevation is at 6200 feet above sea level and the mountain peaks are up to 11,000 feet. Truckee Airport may be fogged in while South Tahoe Airport is clear.
